New York: The world’s first flying bike made a splash at the Detroit Auto Show on Thursday. This flying bike has been designed by the Japanese startup Aerwins Technologies. Following the popular Star Wars bikes, the company is marketing this bike as Exrismo Hoverbike. Airwins is preparing to launch this model next year. A hoverbike travels at a speed of one hundred kilometers per hour for 40 minutes.
The flying bike is already on sale in Japan. Aerwins CEO Shuhi Komatsu revealed that plans are being made to sell a smaller version in the US in 2023. But the hoverbike price is above 753087.66 dollars. A smaller electric model will be offered at a lower price, but it will be ready in another three years by 2025, he said.
Todd Saat, Chief of Detroit Auto Show Co., who test-drove the hoverbike, said that it left an unforgettable experience, was very comfortable and felt like a scene from a sci-fi movie. He said he felt like a 15-year-old boy who jumped on their bike after coming out of Star Wars.
