Kaghan is a paradise region in northern Pakistan that is home to incredible natural wonders and breathtaking beauty. In a previous article, we went into more detail regarding Lake Saiful Muluk. We’ll discuss another natural wonder found in this area in this article. This lake is located in the lush, fauna-rich Lulusar-Dudipatsar National Park. There is a lovely forest with fir trees and fragrant bushes among the snow-capped mountains. The area also supports a variety of wild and endangered species, including majestic Himalayan partridges, snowcocks, and snow leopards. Exclusive wetlands and stunning lakes are found throughout the entire park, and they are vital to the local wildlife. Additionally, migratory waterfowl use these bodies of water as a layover on their lengthy migrations.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in northern Pakistan’s Dudipatsar Lake, also known as Dudipat Lake, is situated at a height of 3,800 metres in the far north of the Kaghan Valley’s Mansehra District. The words “dudi” and “sar” both signify white and lake, respectively. Simply because of the surrounding peaks’ snowy white colour, the Dudipatsar Lake has been given this name. The Dudipatsar Lake’s water gleams like a mirror in the summer. Each and every lake name in the area begins with the word “sar,” which translates to “lake.”
The best months to travel to Dudipatsar Lake in Pakistan’s Kaghan Valley are from late June to late September. The Dudipatsar Lake is also home to the rare Seema Trout Fish, which can only be found in freshwater lakes and rivers in the Himalayas. In the months of June and July, the side valleys, particularly the banks of the Dusipatsar Lake, turn lush green. The 2005 earthquake had a significant negative impact on this area, but since then, many attempts have been made to reconstruct this tourist attraction, including adding new infrastructure and tourist facilities.
