nHari Om is a 1997 batchnIndian Administrative Services (IAS) officer of UP cadre. He was the man whonhad booked Yogi Adityanath for instigating riot in 2007. It is that case whichnled to Yogi complaining in the Lok Sabha with moist eyes. It was also later revealed that Yogi Adityanath was not responsible and false cases were filed against him by Dr. Hari Om under pressure of SP leaders.

nHari Om was put to a rather insignificant post by Yogi Government. He has always enjoyednperks and plum posts under Samajwadi Party led governments. Only recently, on 2nd September, 2022, the Yogi Government decided to give big responsibility on Hari Om. He was appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Social Welfare Department.
