nThere are so many nations in the world that seem to be made up of…smaller “nations”! For a long time, Wales has been part of Great Britain, along with England and Scotland, and now it is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (quite the mouthful, so we shorten it to the United Kingdom, and then we shorten it even more to just the U.K.).
n
n
n
nWales has of course had seats of government in various places, but it never had one definite capital city until this date in 1955, when Cardiff was declared its capital.
