COVID-19 Positive is on the Decrease In Florida

According to the Florida Department of Health’s (FDOH) weekly report, the new COVID-19 positive rate in the state fell to 18 percent for the seven days ending Feb. 3. The prior week, new case positive was 23.5 percent throughout the state.

Vaccination remains the best effective protection against severe disease and death from any of the covid forms, according to health authorities. COVID-19 has been blamed for 66,279 fatalities in Florida as of Feb. 3, an increase of 1,284 deaths in the last week. According to the FDOH, those who have not been vaccinated are at the greatest danger.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the following 19 people were admitted to the hospital in the week ending Feb. 4: People who have been completely vaccinated may still get covid, but they are more likely to have no or just minor symptoms and recover rapidly. As of Feb. 3, the Florida Department of Health stated that 74 percent of Floridians aged 5 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
