COVID-19 Death Toll In Japan Has Risen Sharply

In accordance with the data collected by the Ministry of Health of the country, a sharp jump in mortality among patients was recorded in December, in which 7,622 people died. At the same time, it is specified that 2,985 Japanese deaths from this disease were recorded in November.

It is also reported that during the first 10 days of the new year, doctors in Japan have already recorded a total of 3,145 deaths from coronavirus. The results of predicted calculations indicate that in January the number of deaths due to coronavirus may exceed the mark of 10 thousand people.

Previously, the Public News Service reported that the new variant of the Kraken omicron strain is more contagious, but passes in a mild form. There will be no worsening of the epidemiological situation in Russia due to this option. The corresponding statement was made by the infectious diseases doctor, associate professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia Sergey Voznesensky.
