Cat ladies everywhere go mad on hearing the news that French Presidential favourite Emmanuel Macron is married to a woman 25 years his senior.
The news was greeted with enthusiasm and seen as proof positive that women on the cusp of claiming their old age pension can still snare eligible bachelors (despite a wealth of evidence suggesting the opposite).
Earlier in the campaign Macron had to fend off claims that he was involved in a clandestine gay assignation with Radio France chief executive Mathieu Gallet by reminding the World he was happily married to a woman 25 years older than himself, who had been his literature teacher when he was just 15. This lack of self awareness combined with a successful career as a banker with Rothschilds have led many to ask “Who is Emmanuel Macron?”
The moral custodians on the Alt Right doubtless would take issue with the concept that a Cougar in the Elysee Palace was a good idea, or the idea that the French First Lady tucks her ‘little boy’ in at night was a particularly wholesome, or even powerful image to project to the World.
