Britney raced through hits including Womaniser, Slave 4 U and Toxic as she gave audiences a taste of her residency show in Las Vegas.
She could be seen writhing around a gold pole as she was surrounded by a group of dancers dressed in black mesh ensemble.
The star sizzled throughout her performance before receiving the Billboard Millennium Award for her “career achievements and influence on the music industry”.
She is only the third person to receive the accolade after Beyonce in 2011 and Whitney Houston in 2012.
The 34-year-old’s risky red look came after she turned heads on the red carpet in a lacy black bodysuit, which showcased her enviable figure.
Also due to perform at the star-studded awards is Madonna who will pay tribute to Prince.
Executive producer of the awards show, Mark Bracco, said her performance would be “very intimate and very respectful”.
Celine Dion, will presented with the Icon Award, Billboard’s lifetime achievement honour and will perform Queen’s The Show Must Go On.
