Biden Praises George Clooney, U2, Gladys Knight, and Kennedy Center Recipients

Donations from actor George Clooney, author-pennyagi Amy Grant, singer Gladys Knight, composer Tania Leon and rock band U2 came to the world to celebrate the occasion at the Gedung Putih reception on Sunday (4/12).

The group changed to Gladys Knight & The Pips in 1962. Leon was a Cuban-born conductor and composer. The orchestral work “Stride” won the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Music. Meanwhile, Irish group U2, consisting of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr., won 22 Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
