Beyoncé Wants Kelly Rowland's New Girl Group to "Be Better" Than Destiny's Child

Kelly Rowland’s new show Chasing Destiny follows her quest to find the next great girl group. Of course, she’ll draw on her own experience as a member of Destiny’s Child, and she’ll also consult with Beyoncé and Michelle Williams throughout the process.
“It’s good feedback,” Kelly told W Magazine, “and I’m happy they’re really honest with me, because they

feel the same way I do: each generation should be better than the last.”
But while Michelle and Beyoncé are completely supportive, Chasing Destiny will mainly be a solo project for Kelly. “I wanted to do everything myself,” she said in an interview with The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1. “I wanted to keep it just about me.”
Kelly said she doesn’t “want to find the next Destiny’s Child.” though, she wants to “find the next whoever is supposed to be dope.”
Beyoncé is “super excited” about this girl group, said Kelly, who is “very excited” about the “Formation” singer’s new album, too. (Props to The Breakfast Club for trying, but Kelly wouldn’t reveal when we can expect Bey’s new album to drop.)
As for a possible Destiny’s child reunion in the future? “We haven’t talked about it,” said Kelly. “I’ll see Michelle, tomorrow, or the next day. And the last time me and Bey were together was like two weeks ago, when I stopped by rehearsals and we talked about everything else. We really, really do. We talk about playdates with the kids. and we talk about vacations and new opportunities.”They’d have even more time to talk about talk that stuff if Destiny’d Child reunited—just sayin’. We’ll keep our fingers crossed, but in the meantime, make sure to tune in to Kelly’s new show Chasing Destiny Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. on BET.
