The new Bang and Olufsen BeoPlay H7 is stylish, sounds great and it is well-built. The new Bluetooth headphone will definitely be a huge attraction on the market, due to its incredible look and large variety of features.
This new model is built out of anodized aluminum and its memory foam earcups are covered with lambskin leather. To be added that this model is the company’s first full-size, over ear wireless headphone and costs approximately 450 dollars. Probably, customers will find this model a little bit cheaper online.
Overall, this new model is really pleasant to wear and weighs 9.9 ounces. Bang and Olufsen BeoPlay H7 is somewhere between heavy and lightweight if we compare it with Boses’s SoundLink Around-ear Wireless Headphones II that weighs approximately 5.27 ounces.
To be added that Bang and Olufsen BeoPlay H7 doesn’t come with a metal headband. As for the earcups, they are really sealed and don’t let the ambient noise get inside. Furthermore, they don’t clamp down the user’s head too much.
However, during the summer period probably users’ ears will get a little bit steamy. But, that’s the bad part of any full-size, around-ear headphones.
To be added that B&O also built a one-ear wireless model, called BeoPlay H8, and comes with active noise canceling, a good feature that H7 doesn’t have. However, H7 comes with similar touch controls as the H8.
These touch controls are positioned on the right earcup and allow users to switch tracks back and forward with a swipe. Moreover, they can also adjust volume and answer calls.
This is a useful feature, but sometimes, users can touch the earcup accidentally and pause the music or skip a track. So, that’s why some customers don’t agree with the touch control feature.
Like many other Bluetooth models, the new Bang and Olufsen BeoPlay H7 also comes with a built-in
microphone for making calls. This microphone works pretty good and it is considered one of the best out there.
To be added that at this price range, models like Bose SoundLink Around-Ear Wireless Headphones II or Beats Studio Wireless, come with dual microphone and a sidetone feature that allow users to hear their voice inside the headphones when they talk.
The new Olufsen BeoPlay H7 comes with a rechargeable 770mAh battery that is also replaceable and removable. This is probably one of the biggest pluses that this model has. So, this means that users can buy an extra battery and carry it along with them as a backup.
However, the company claims that this battery is rated at approximately 20 hours of use. Unfortunately, there isn’t any carrying case included for the extra battery.
As for performance, the new H7 sounds well balanced, with good clarity and tight bass. Without a doubt, this headphone has been created to deliver the extra sparkle and it doesn’t disappoint.
So, even if it costs a lot of money, the new Olufsen BeoPlay H7 is an incredible model that delivers good sound and has an incredible and well-built design.
