‘Aquaman’ Has Begun Its Filming Voyage

DC Films and Warner Bros.’ have begun principal photography on their upcoming venture into their cinematic universe, Aquaman.

James Wan, who helms the project, took to his Twitter to announce that filming for the feature has begun. Filming under the working title of “Ahab,” the production is currently being shot at the Village Roadshow Studios in Queensland, Australia with an expected move to Italy in the latter end of filming.

Aquaman will be directed by James Wan from a script written by Wan, Will Beall, and DC Films co-head Geoff Johns. Producing the film Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Rob Cowan and DC Films’ Jon Berg and Geoff Johns.

Jason Momoa stars as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, along with Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Yahya Abdul-Manteen II as Black Manta, with Nicole Kidman as Atlanna and Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry.

Aquaman is expected to release December 21, 2018.
