nPoetnand author Pat Mora knew that the U.S. had no Children’s Day. Shenwanted to start one, but she also wanted to link the celebration ofnchildren with literacy—the ability to read—and bilingualism—thenability to speak two languages. She got help from severalnorganizations, including Reforma, the American Library Association, nand Target stores; now many libraries and schools have joined thencelebration. You can, too!
