For music makers, the new Apple Music Memos app is an incredible way to save their thoughts during the day.
So, these days, Apple has released a new app, called Music Memos designed to help music makers to organize and develop their ideas.
Along this new release, the giant tech has also launched a “major update” for the iOS version of GarageBand. This new update introduces “Live Loops” to allow users play deejay and a new Drummer feature with acoustic virtual session drummers.
So, this new app is perfect for users to capture a song idea or for artists to make a quick recoding of their guitar, piano or voice.
However, Apple Memos App is not just a simple recording app, because it is built to capture musical ideas, plus it has the ability to give them a slight polish and send the best ones on to a more powerful music tool, Logic pro or Apple’s own GarageBand. To be added that this app is completely free and should already be available on the App Store.
For starters, this new app begins with a simple record button positioned in the middle of the screen. Users just have to tap it and the app starts recording, thus, it is very simple. The Music Memos app is optimized for guitar or piano, but in the end, users can record anything, klezmer, ukulele, voice and many other instruments.
However, what happens next is what makes this app stand out from a standard memo-recording app. So, for users who will record a piano or some acoustic guitar, Apple’s Music Memos will analyze the audio input and attempts to chop user’s song demo into bars and add chord labels.
After the entire process is completed, users will also be able to turn on the auto-accompaniment tools that come together with the app and turn out to be very satisfying. So, a drum track and a simple bass line will follow along with the rhythm and chords.
These recordings can also be labeled with tags and users are able to add song lyrics to notes section for each recording. Moreover, these recordings can be synced to iCloud or they can be exported to Logic Pro or GarageBand.
Musicians around the world, from the biggest artists to aspiring students, use Apple devices to create amazing music; the innovative new Music Memos app will help them quickly capture their ideas on iPhone and iPad whenever inspiration strikes,” has declared Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.
GarageBand is the most popular music-creation app in the world, and this update helps everyone easily tap into their musical talent with the powerful new Live Loops and Drummer features, and adds support for the larger iPad Pro screen and 3D Touch on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus,” he continued in a statement.
As for the GarageBand app, the new update comes with some interesting new features that will help users get started arranging or crafting music, even if they have little or no experience at all.
