Apple is planning on opening an iOS development center in Italy, the tech giant claiming that this would lead to the creation of a series of jobs. For the project, Apple will be partnering with an institution from Naples, Italy, although its name has not been revealed.
Well, if the plan will go on as reported, this will actually be the first iOS app development center that the tech giant opens in Europe.
Without a doubt, Apple is in continuous development and the tech giant claims that its arrival to Europe is a great thing, leading to the creation of numerous jobs. Apple also revealed that the new center will help students get needed skills and training that would help them develop iOS apps, enhancing the iOS developer community.
And Apple may not stop here. The tech giant claimed that the new center might also be able to offer specialized curriculum and enter into various partnership opportunities in Italy. It surely seems that Apple has complex plans for its stay in Italy.
Europe is home to some of the most creative developers in the world and we’re thrilled to be helping the next generation of entrepreneurs in Italy get the skills they need for success,” Tim Cook declared.
Apple also pointed out that its new center will turn out to enhance the number of jobs that the company already provides in Europe. It is estimated that about 1.4 million people work on the continent for the tech giant, in various work opportunities.
The phenomenal success of the App Store is one of the driving forces behind the more than 1.4 million jobs Apple has created in Europe and presents unlimited opportunities for people of all ages and businesses of all sizes across the continent,” Cook also stated.
Furthermore, Apple said that its plan to expand its European operations might actually help both the App industry and European developers. Apple claimed that it had helped developers on the continent to earn over USD 10.2 billion from selling apps all around the world. This is not the first time when the app industry receives appreciation.
Actually, a report from the Progressive Policy Institute claimed that Europe’s app industry created no less than 1.64 million jobs.
So, the opportunities are quite interesting. And Apple’s interest is not shocking at all. The famous company has always made a successful business from its apps development. However, recently it has been revealed that Google Play app downloads have also grown, although Apple remains the major revenue gainer on this market.
Recent reports indicated that Google Play downloads have increased on emerging markets. Despite the growth, Apple continued to be the leader in terms of money, as its revenue growth has exceeded the one of the Android. Some differences were reported between US and worldwide markets, but Apple is expected to remain a leader for now, mostly because iPhone owners commonly are more willing to spend money on apps, compared to Android owners. However, Google’s growth is also expected to continue.
