Ancient Scandinavian Runes was Discovered in Norway

In a burial pit in Norway, a stone containing runic inscriptions from two thousand years ago was discovered.

An ancient rune stone has been found in Norway. It is the oldest known and earliest example of writing in Scandinavia, according to MailOnline. The inscriptions on it were inscribed two thousand years ago.

The stone was found in a cremation pit containing burnt bones and charcoal. The latter date back to 1-250 AD.
The size of the stone is 7.9 by 0.32 meters.

The eight runes on it may mean “For Idebera”. According to scientists, this person could rest in a cremation pit.

The stone was found during excavations of a burial ground near Lake Tyrfjord to the west of Oslo.
