AMD Just Showed a Demo For FreeSync 2

Do you have a FreeSync 2 monitor and want a demo that will allow you to praise it and test it thoroughly? Probably not, because there are not many FreeSync 2 monitors on the market, and anyway they’re expensive. Then it would be that FreeSync 2 does not bring anything new to FreeSync 1 in terms of effective frame rate synchronization with monitor speed but includes support for HDR.

Okay, if you want more accurate details, a FS2 monitor needs to be certified and must include compensation for decreasing the number of frames per second below the minimum monitor frequency. Those who have such a monitor will soon be able to see a demonstration called Oasis designed to show why the screen is in place.

This is not available for download at the time this article is edited but apparently will have over 5GB in size and will allow you to explore a three-dimensional scene in detail to see exactly how well the monitor behaves when it comes to compensating for potential problems image fracture or jamming.

AMD has said that this demonstration should not be considered a benchmark. But perhaps the world uses it as a benchmark.

Below is the official AMD demo shown today. Enjoy!
