Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara, unlike her sister Shruti Hassan, aspires to be a filmmaker. She is now working as an assistant on Rahul Dholakia’s film Society, which also stars her mother, Sarika.
The 19-year-old aspires to learn all there is to know about filmmaking. When Sarika learned of her desire to learn the ropes, she spoke with Rahul and convinced Akshara to join the film.

Sarika has worked with Rahul on Parzania and is a fan of his work ethic. He seems like the appropriate guy to teach her daughter, she thought. Like her parents, Akshara has no intention of appearing in front of the camera. She is only concerned with the technical aspects of filmmaking, such as editing, special effects, and directing.
“A few months ago, Dimple Kapadia’s nephew Karan was aiding Rahul for a brief while during his summer vacations,” a source says. It’s now Akshara’s turn. He’s eager to share his expertise with these youngsters.”
Rahul handled Sarika and Karan like any other interns, despite their celebrity ties. “They didn’t receive any special treatment only because of their relationships with actors,” a crew member said. They were both highly intelligent and eager to learn.
