A 27-year-old Woman became infertile due to Medical malpractice

Jordanna Say, a 27-year-old resident of Scotland , became infertile due to a medical error: experts overlooked a malignant tumor that developed in her ovaries. It is reported by the tabloid The Sun.

A few years ago, Sei went to the doctor complaining of abdominal pain, bloating, and frequent urination. Similar symptoms may indicate ovarian cancer, but the girl was assured that the pain was associated with a previously diagnosed endometriosis .

In 2017, Sei was diagnosed with a tumor in her left ovary, but the pathology was again attributed to endometriosis. After conducting tests that showed high tumor markers, the patient was sent home, prescribing paracetamol as a treatment. Doctors were sure she was too young for cancer.

Over the next ten months, Sei lost a lot of weight, her health worsened. She insisted on a thorough examination. The girl had an MRI, which showed a tumor in her left ovary. The patient began to prepare for surgery to remove the organ.

After undergoing surgery, Sei began to prepare for IVF. When only nine days remained before him, she was given the final diagnosis: stage II ovarian cancer. Because of the missed time, the malignant tumor spread to both ovaries, uterus, and pelvic walls. Jordanna was informed that she would not be able to bear the child, as she needed an urgent removal of the uterus.

My life has been turned upside down. The cancer was in fact in both my ovaries, uterus and pelvic wall, on my stomach. I lost the opportunity to have children and was heartbroken. There are no words to describe my feelings
