The thief tried to escape with a smartphone, but he was stopped by a jammed door
The thief’s attempt to steal the phone from the store has failed. As a result, he later returned the phone to the store.
Anticipating something like this, the owner installed a locking system on the door, and the burglar’s attempt failed. However, the thief, who did not know that there was such a deal in the store, ran away with the phone. But since the automatic lock system wouldn’t open it, he stepped back like a barking cat and reluctantly handed the phone back. The footage was recorded in Dewsbury, UK on December 4 on CCTV cameras. The video is now circulating on social media.
A thief’s plan to steal a £1,600 mobile phone backfired. He asked the owner to return the phone and open the door. A young man entered a mobile phone shop in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, around 4:00 pm on 4 December. He pretended to be a customer in order to buy a phone.
The clerk at the back of the store showed me some phones and gave me another one to review. The thief immediately took the phone and ran forward. But the salesman didn’t let him leave and locked the door with a remote control. With this act, he returned, handed over the rod and asked not to leave it.
Shop owner Afzal Adam (52) told Metro News that he installed a £250 automatic door locking system in 2020. He said he thought it would be difficult to detect if someone was stealing a phone by wearing a mask and sneaking into a store to hide their face. Without the system, he said, the thief would have escaped with a £1,600 worth of phone. Another local store owner approached us and asked for clarification on this locking system.
