Tim Cook and the Apple Car

Tim Cook has recently been asked about the Apple Car and the CEO of the popular tech giant somehow acknowledged the fact that Apple might be working to release such a vehicle. Of course, Tim Cook has not directly confirmed the Apple Car rumors, but he did manage to make everyone believe that the rumors might not be false at all.

So, the question was popped during Apple’s annual shareholder meeting. During the event, someone asked if the Apple Car rumor was true. The question was not expected, but Cook definitely had a great answer.

“Do you remember when you were a kid, and Christmas Eve, it was so exciting, you weren’t sure what was going to be downstairs? Well, it’s going to be Christmas Eve for a while,” Tim Cook said.

Of course, the answer couldn’t have been more unclear than this, but it could also mean that the CEO of Apple and the famous company are really working at a car. However, some have claimed that this does not mean that the Apple car will be released on the market soon.

Apple is believed to have a team of no less than 600 people working at the Apple Car. Apple has not confirmed that, but for months it has been rumored that the tech company hired a series of engineers with experience in the auto industry. In fact, Tim Cook was recently asked about the people that Apple has hired. His answer was once again a general one and Cook claimed that Apple does not need to spend large sums of money to “explore” an area.

What Cook was trying to say is that Apple only needs people. Some suggested that Cook made these statements just because Apple is still in the early stages of developing the technology for the Apple Car and the tech giant was not even close to completing it.

Well, talking about the Apple Car is not all that has happened at the shareholders meeting that recently took place. The famous company also revealed that it is not going to make any changes when it comes to the members of its board. So, it reelected all eight board members, which include Andrea Jung, Art Levinson, James Bell, Tim Cook, Al Gore, Bob Iger, Ronald Sugar, and Susan Wagner.

The Apple Car project is expected to be amazing, some reports claiming that the vehicle will be released in 2019 or 2020. Meanwhile, Apple’s team, includes engineers from Tesla, Ford, Samsung, but also GM and Nvidia.

Some reports said that Apple named this “Project Titan” and tried to keep everything a secret. However, the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, revealed that Apple was developing an electric car. He made the prediction based on the type of employees that Apple seemed interested in hiring.

At its shareholders’ meeting, Apple also claimed that the company is committed to its customer’s privacy and revealed its interest in opportunities for the tech giant, represented by the purchase of smaller technology firms.
