Samsung’s latest tablet is a new and refreshing device that will definitely be an attraction on the market.
Similar to Microsoft’s Surface tablets, this model also has the same mission: to inspire other companies to shrink the PC into 2-in-1 designs. It seems that this plan is working, because many other companies are already working at this project.
New Windows 10-based 2-in-1 devices are already hitting the market and they are not bad at all. Since the launch of the well-known Surface Pro 4, in October 2015, the market has started to be filed with these Windows 10 tablets, for example HP Spectre X2.
To be added that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is available at the price of 1,197 dollars, while HP Spectre X2 at 849 dollars. There is also a new competitor on the market, called VAIO Z Canvas that is available at the price of 1,129 dollars. So, these new devices are not cheap at all and customers have to save a lot of money before they afford one.
First presented at CES 2016, the new Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is already hitting the market. This new device attracts a lot of eyes due to its incredible design. The first thing that pops up is its thinness, being 0.25-inch thin and weighing 1.53-pounds.
The keyboard cover is also very attractive and is available in black or white. Another attractive thing is the 12-inch display that features 2,160×1,440-pixels and is considered to be the first Windows device to features the company’s Super AMOLED display technology.
What is the difference?
Well, the presence of Super AMOLED means rich eye-popping colors and very black blacks.
The new Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is available at the price of 899 dollars.
It is not a cheap price, but compared with Microsoft Surface Pro 4, it is more affordable. This tablet comes with an Intel Core m3 processor, 128GB of solid-state storage and 4GB of RAM. This means that Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is a very capable tablet and allows users to do serious work, especially with the included keyboard case.
Moreover, this tablet also comes with an optional active-pen stylus. The ample battery life is also an assurance that users will be able to get through a full workday without any problems.
Unfortunately, the keyboard is not really great and if customers are in search for a great typing experience on a 2-in-1 model, this isn’t the right device.
The primary keys on the tablet’s keyboard are large, not very different from the older Surface Type Cover keyboard, but not great either. Moreover, this keyboard is not backlight, which is too bad. Samsung Galaxy TabPro S has only two physical ports situated on the bottom right in landscape orientation.
Moreover, users will find a USB Type-C port and a headphone jack. The type-C port is used for charge, but to be added that the tablet also features fast-charging technology. Samsung declared that owners will be able to get approximately 2,5 hours of usage time with just 30 minutes of charging.
