Naked sleepwalker helped back to hotel after walking into city centre

Police are usually busy on a Saturday night, but this weekend they had an unexpected task to deal with.

Officers in Manchester had to help a sleepwalker back to his hotel, who was wearing ‘absolutely no clothes’.
The person, who hasn’t been named, managed to wander out of bed and out of the doors of where they were staying and out into Cholton Street in the city centre, where they carried on walking.
When they were woken up by police who offered them a jacket to protect their modesty, they apparently were able to laugh about it (but we’re guessing there were definitely some blushes as well).
Police said it was a case of ‘proper somnambulism, not a dare. Person grateful for our help and saw the funny side themselves.’
Chorlton Street is right in the city centre, close to Manchester Metropolitan University and the central coach station.
