Well it appears the movie in limbo, Gambit, is set to be released from film purgatory as Simon Kinberg, the Kevin Feige like figure of the X-Men film franchise, has set out the production time for the film.
Gambit has been in what many call “film purgatory,” as it has been in pre-production for the past two years, with directors dropping out, scripts needing rewrites, and a whole host of other issues. However Kinberg speaking on That Hashtag Show has stand his ground as has given a date for the cameras to begin rolling:
“We have a great script on that and hope to shoot that movie at the beginning of spring of next year.”
Not only did Kinberg gave an update for Channing Tatum’s Gambit he also teased the already anticipated Deadpool 2. He, just like Gambit, gave information on the production side of the sequel.
He said:
“The first thing up, we’re shooting the Wolverine movie right now and we start shooting Deadpool 2 at the beginning of next year, then I sit down and start writing the next of the mainline X-Men movies.”
Hopefully now Gambit will indeed get up and running and gets to be on the big-screen. Deadpool 2 however was always going to happen with the original making $700+Million at the box office and I hope will be just as funny and adventurous.
