LG X power™ Cricket Smartphone Review Reveals A Turbo-Charged Battery with Little to Power

A few days ago, LG has released its newest flagship phone, called the V20. The new phone promises to bring new and exciting features for customers. But, the company has also released a low-end option for customers who are not willing to pay so much on a smartphone.

As years are passing by, people are able to do all kind of new things with their smartphones. Of course, it all started with calls and texts, but now people are able to send emails, browse on the Internet, make video calls, and even pay their groceries with their smart device.

Making all these things with a smartphone is great, but there is something that stands in the way almost all the time: the battery life.

Keeping the data turned on all the time requires more and more battery power. LG seems to know this thing and it is coming with the new X Power, a smartphone that has a huge 4,100mAh battery stuffed into a relatively small frame. Its name also feels very appropriate “power.”

It is very important for a smartphone to come with a long battery life. That is why LG is offering the new X Power that homes a huge battery under its chassis.

The new LG X Power cannot be compared with the company’s high end G5 model, but the only thing better and bigger here is the battery.

Moreover, the company had to do a lot of compromises to offer this phone at a relatively affordable price, which means that the corners had to be cut everywhere. The new LG X Power is available at the price of 150 dollars.

The new LG X Power comes with 5.3-inch IPS display, featuring 720 HD resolution. To be added that under the hood there is a slow 1.3GHz MediaTek M6735 64-bit processor, accompanied by 2GB of RAM. The 150 dollars price tag also explains why this phone comes with only 16GB of internal storage.

We think that 32GB of internal storage would have been a must, because 16GB is too little for users’ music, videos and pictures. At least there is a MicroSD card slot that can go up to 2TB of storage.

LG X Power has a 13-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The non-removable back is built of plastic, featuring a slight texture that makes it easier for users to grip. It is not rubberized, which means that sweaty paws will make it feel slippery. Unfortunately, the back panel is also a fingerprint magnet.

The SIM and MicroSD share the same slot situated on the left side, while the volume buttons are situated above. On the right side, users will find the power button, and on the bottom of the phone there is the 3.5mm headphone jack and Micro USB charging port.

As we already mentioned, the battery life is the start here, and the company has included Quick Charging 2.0 to speed up recharges. This means that it takes only over two hours to go from empty to full.
