Microsoft comes with a new Surface Pro model that offers a speedy 4G LTE service. Moreover, this device has a very sleek and portable design.
Customers will be able to buy the new Microsoft Surface Pro at the starting price of 1.149 dollars. This new device includes a feature that the last year’s model lacked: LTE connectivity. This means that with the new Microsoft Surface Pro customers will be able to stay online anywhere.
This is a really great thing and a plus for Microsoft compared with other competitors. Pairing 4G with some of the best hardware on the market could represent a new opportunity for those who take their internet-based work on the road.
The new Microsoft Surface Pro comes with a body that measures 0.33 x 11.5 x 7.9 inches and weighs 1.78 pounds.
This means that the LTE model is similar with the previous Surface Pro model. The only change that this new model has is the new SIM card slot situated on the rear panel, beneath the kickstand. Customers will have to extend the kickstand in order to reach the slot and eject the tray pressing a pinhole with a provided tool.
In order to install a SIM card, customers should know that the process is really easy. They just have to add the SIM card into the tray and push it back into the slot.
Another great thing about the SIM card is that it will allow customers to use a pay-as-you-go plan through the Windows Store. To be added that customers will be able to buy 200MB for one day at the price of 4.99 dollars, 1GB for 15 days at the price of 14 dollars, and 3GB for 30 days for 30 dollars.
As we mentioned earlier, the design for the new LTE model remains the same as the non-LTE version. However, the internal components are different.
So, with the 2.199 Surface Pro model, customers will receive a Core i7 processor, a 512GB SSD, and 16GB of RAM. However, there is also a cheaper version, which is available at the price of 1.449 dollars and comes with a Core i5-7300U processor, a 256GB SSD, and 8GB of RAM.
There is also another configuration of the LTE version available, which is also considered the base model. We are talking about a 1.149 dollars model that comes with a 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM.
Similar with the non-LTE model, customers will have to buy the Signature Type Cover and the Surface Pen separately.
This means that they will have to pay 159 dollars for the Signature Type Cover, and 99 dollars for the Surface Pen. As for the battery life, the company claims that this model will go up to 13 hours at full speed, just like the non-LTE model.
However, the new Microsoft Surface Pro LTE model is something that customers will be happy to use. With this model, customers will be able to keep computing wherever they are.
