nAjoy Kumar is a former IPS officer of Jharkhand cadren(previously Bihar cadre). He is still regarded as one of the most distinguishednand honest IPS officers in recent times. He had finished the menace of gangnlords and crime from Jamshedpur. In fact, Tata board had requested Lalu PrasadnYadav, the then CM of Bihar, in early 1990s to send him to overcome rampantncrimes and gangwars in Jamshedpur.

Later, he joined Congressnand was made the President of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee. The debaclenin 2019 Lok Sabha election forced him to resign from Congress.
