Maridhas and Fake News on Bipin Rawat Death
Maridhas was arrested by Madurai Police. He had exposed DMK supporters through various social media platforms. Many DMK supporters had rejoiced by listening to the news of unfortunate demise of CDS Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 others. Maridhas had termed it ridiculous that DMK supporters are happy with this news. He had uttered that DMK is on the path of making Tamil Nadu like Kashmir. He was arrested on many charges, including sedition.
Arrest of Maridhas was a test for Freedom of Expression for Tamil Nadu Government. They found it tough to defend the unlawful arrest of him at the Court. It was no surprise that the Madras High Court reprimanded the Government and ordered to release Maridhas.
