Swati Singh is the wifenof Daya Shankar Singh, senior BJP leader of UP. Daya had stirred a controversynwhen he had allegedly abused Mayawati in a public meeting. All hell broke loosenthen and he was immediately expelled from the party. However, entire Rajput ofnUP had raised voices for Daya Shankar. BJP was forced to find a middle path. Itnasked Swati Singh to join BJP. At that time, Swati was in limelight for hernseries of comments in favor of her husband.
