nJPSC is coming out withna huge recruitment drive for CDPO in August 2018. The Government has givenngreen signal to the JPSC to initiate the process. It will be interesting to seenhow JPSC will proceed, as it is currently mired in a rather unwantedncontroversy of JPSC Mains examination.

n
nAs for CDPO, thenGovernment has clearly mandated JPSC to recruit 75% of the vacant seats throughncompetitive examination. Rest 25% will be filled through departmentalnpromotion.
n
n
n
nThere is little bitnconfusion about the eligibility of male candidates. In this recruitment drive, nmale candidates will be allowed to participate. However, 50% of seats – with horizontalnreservation – will be reserved for women candidates. And, all promoted seatsnwill be filled by only women candidates.
n
nIt means male candidatesncan also appear in this examination.

nPattern of CDPOnExamination
n
nYou will be required tonappear for preliminary test containing two papers of General Studies. This willnbe done to weed out non serious candidates. Selected candidates will be askednto appear for Mains Written Examination. In all, the process is similar to thatnof JPSC Civil Services Examination. The only difference is about the group ofnoptional that you may go for.
n
n
n
nIn a nutshell, this is anbig opportunity for all of you. It is high time when you should start preparingnfor the examination as the entire process is expected to be completed beforenthe next General Election (April – May, 2019).
