However, because ofnrooster system, she couldn’t get her first choice for state cadre. Her firstnchoice was Uttar Pradesh. However, she had to settle with the second choicenPunjab.

nSonali isnmarried to Vipul Ujjwal. It should be noted that Vipul is also an IAS officernof the same batch and cadre. While Sonali had secured 42nd rank,nVipul had got 14th All India Rank in 2008 UPSC Civil ServicesnExamination. They developed love during the training days and later decided tonget married. The couple has a daughter.

nIt should alsonbe noted here that both Sonali and Vipul are highly active IAS officers when itncomes to using the latest technology for the betterment of citizens. They hadnonce developed an Android Mobile APP to help people understand the votingnsystem and casting votes easily. The Election Commission of India, after seeingnthe presentation, had approved the app. Recently, the couple was in news forndeveloping a Mobile App for finding clean toilet. This is a watershed app andncan immensely help tourists. It can become a milestone in the Swachh BharatnCampaign launched by the Government of India.
