Jurgen Klopp has completely ruled out resigning Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona.
The manager is contended with the team he has managed to develop since Coutinho made a record move to Barcelona for £154m in January 2018.
Although, things haven’t gone as planned as Coutinho and Barcelona would’ve preferred. Barcelona have recruited Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie De Jong to provide them the pace, trickery and goals in attacker as well as the control and dominance in midfield which Coutinho lacks .
“In general, Phil Coutinho helps each team in the world, still- 100 per cent”, Klopp told ESPN.
“It’s not about that. I like Phil, i think he’s a fantastic footballer and all that stuff, but it would be a big, big, big, big, big, big, big-money singing and it’s not our year for that.
“It’s just not possible. As i said, having him would make each team better- us included- but i really hope that he finds his luck at Barcelona’.
Coutinho joined Liverpool from Inter Milan in January 2013 for £8.5m and went on score 54 goals in 201 appearances.
Although, he didn’t win a trophy during his 4 and half year spell at Liverpool but he evolved into one of the world’s finest attacking midfielder.
