nToday is celebrated as Boxing Day and as the Second Day of Christmas (see below for both), in many different nations. It is also Junkanoo in the Bahamas!

nI’ve already written about Junkanoo Parade Day in the Bahamas, in the Caribbean, which occurs in July. But the street parade that is called Junkanoo also occurs on Boxing Day (today!) and on New Year’s Day.
