nThis winter has been super cold in some places (Yikes! Polar vortex!), and I am not sure how wild birds are faring in this awful weather – more on that below – but today’s annual Feed the Birds Day is a reminder that some backyard birds survive better if people feed them in the deep of winter, when food is the scarcest.
