nI looked her up – and it turns out that she is a superstar, too: a supermodel!

I am not all that into modeling and fashion, but I was impressed by Bündchen’s more than 1,200 magazine covers, the fact that she is credited with pioneering a way of walking the runway (it’s called a horse walk because it is a stomp-kick kind of movement with high-lifted knees), and the fact that she is credited with ending an era of modeling called “heroin chic” and kick-starting a new era of healthier, curvier models!

nIn addition to working with Doctors Without Borders, the Red Cross, and Save the Children, Bündchen has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. for more than a decade!

nBy the way, Gisele Bündchen has FIVE SISTERS, including a fraternal (not identical) twin sister, and she speaks Portuguese, Spanish, English, and some French. Since she is of German descent, I wondered, why not German? Well, she says that she learned it in school but doesn’t use it – and so she has forgotten it!
