Former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out both clubs from winning this season’s Premier League title.
Chelsea and United are both entering the season with new manager who yet to prove themselves in the top flight.
Mourinho who has won 25 trophies as a club manager along with two Champions League trophy with FC Porto {2004} and Inter Milan {2010} can’t see both amateurs beating Pep Guardiola {26 club trophies and first manager to win the domestic treble} to the Premier League.
Asked which teams are capable of winning the Premier League title, Mourinho said:
“Manchester City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City B team”, Mourinho told Sky Sports.
“Today, even if one team plays magnificently or has a fantastic result, i don’t believe the title is possible”.
Backing his statement, Gary Neville added: “Manchester United can’t win the title and i don’t think Chelsea can either.
“I think United would snap your hands off now if you offered them fourth. I think they are in a battle with Chelsea and Arsenal for that position.
“I think Tottenham, Liverpool and City are well ahead. Manchester United have got to start one block at a time. You can’t expect them to go from where they have been over the last seven years to winning the title’.
Manchester United will kickoff their season with a mouth watering clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford.
