Ghosts may be scary, but not all of them are dangerous. While there have been many stories of hauntings involving a spiteful or malevolent spirit , in general it seems ghosts like to be left to their own devices. There are many cases of people actually being assisted by ghosts and even being saved by them, rather than haunted by them.
