Until today, the production of sex toys was not regulated in any way, since these products fell into the category of “entertainment” and they did not need to be certified or monitored in any way for their safety.
Finally, the first version of the document from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was drawn up, which will regulate the production of toys for adults.
One of the paragraphs of the document says that if a person uses some kind of sex device, then it should be possible to remove it at home, without the use of special tools and tools.
The adopted regulation suggests that all toys that have a heating element should not heat up more than 48 degrees Celsius, as this can cause first-degree burns. Also, toys that are designed to fit somewhere should not have surfaces that could cut where they are inserted. That is, they should be smooth and soft.
Thus, the main goal of creating regulatory standards for sex toys is not only and not so much some kind of unification of their production, but, first of all , ensuring the safety of using these devices .
