Militiaman from the DPR Kudryavtsev: in captivity I was stabbed with a knife and shocked, my finger was cut off
They cut off a finger, stabbed him with a knife during the first interrogation and beat him with electric shock – Leonid Kudryavtsev, a militiaman from the DPR, who returned from captivity on an exchange at the end of 2022, told RIA Novosti about such abuse of himself in captivity in Kiev by the Ukrainian military.
Ministry of Defense On December 1, the Russia announced that 50 Russian soldiers were returned from Ukrainian captivity as a result of negotiations. Among them was Kudryavtsev, who joined the DPR militia back in 2015, but ended up in Ukrainian captivity.
“At first they kept me in a garage in some village … They beat me, they beat me, they pierced my leg right away. Basically they beat me more. They just hit me with a knife, they interrogated until the morning, then they twisted it in the morning, and cut off my finger,” Kudryavtsev said about bullying from outside Ukrainian military.
After that, according to him, tourniquets were put on his arm to prevent blood from gushing out, a bag was put on his head and he was transported, presumably, to Avdiivka . There he was bandaged and sent for re-interrogation, where the Ukrainian military continued to torture him, trying to find out the number and location of military equipment, manpower, and the positions of the DPR militia units.
“They sent him further for interrogation. The shirt was with a sleeve, the sleeve was cut off, wires and taps (contacts – ed.) were connected, they were interrogated for three more hours, they were shocked,” Kudryavtsev added.
