Officials said the situation in Montecito, a city near Los Angeles where many Hollywood celebrities live, is worse. An emergency alert has been issued that people should leave the city immediately as there is a threat of mud.

Meanwhile, the weather department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rains in 17 regions of California. Due to this, holidays have been declared for schools and offices in many districts. Power outages in Sacramento area after huge trees fell on power lines. A woman and a five-year-old boy were lost in floodwaters in Central California. The rescue team searched for about seven hours but in vain.
