5 Movies Where Everyone Dies In Weird Ways

Most of the time, when we go to the movies, we want the characters to live “happily ever after.” However, occasionally, we don’t mind seeing a lot of characters being beat up. And we’re not referring to the Marvel Extended Universe where everyone perishes but we know they will return in later films.

In certain films, nearly everyone—both the heroes and the villains—meets their demise, and we can state with absolute certainty that they won’t be returning. Consider the movie “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” where nearly all of the characters had to pass away since there was no other way to explain why they weren’t included in the Star Wars films that took place before this one.

1. Scarface (1983)

Even if you’ve never seen the film, everyone remembers the catchphrase “Say hello to my little friend,” which was written and directed by a young Oliver Stone. The film Scarface depicts the tale of Tony Montana (Al Pacino), a Cuban exile who rises from little to become a powerful and wealthy drug dealer before dying an anti-heroic death.

Other than Tony, his sister Gina and the majority of his thugs receive one-way tickets to the bone yard.

Who Survives: Drug lord Alejandro Sosa, Tony’s ex-girlfriend Elvira, Tony’s mother Georgina, and Sosa’s hitman “The Skull” all survive.

2. 300 (2007)

Zack Snyder is well-known to everyone thanks to the DC Extended Universe movies he has directed, but it was the 2007 box office sensation 300 that first made him famous. The film, which is based on the Frank Miller comic book series, is about 300 valiant Spartan troops who resist a 300,000-person Persian invasion. This David and Goliath tale is extremely violent and packed with bloody violence.

Who Dies: 299 of them, really. However, they did at least bring tens of thousands of Persian warriors.

Who Survives: Despite suffering an injury, Dilios manages to make it back to Sparta and survives to recount the heroic tale of the vastly outnumbered Spartan troops who made their last stand.

3. Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Despite the fact that Reservoir Dogs didn’t draw in sizable crowds to the cinemas like Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill did, it was the film that most captured his persona and is thus a fan favourite. The majority of his films would eventually come to be known for their emphasis on protracted conversation, pop-culture allusions, and of course, lots of dead bodies.

Who Dies: All “Dogs” die, with the exception of one.

4. The Hateful Eight (2015)

The fact that a typical Western movie has a high fatality rate is perhaps not a major surprise. After all, the majority of the primary characters are fierce fighters who are anxious to put their adversaries out of their misery. While violence has always been a major component of Quentin Tarantino’s movies, in 2015’s The Hateful Eight, a drama about eight strangers attempting to survive a severe winter storm together, he truly ups the ante. Unsurprisingly, none of them succeed.

Who Dies: Every single one of them!

Who Survives: Not a single one!

5. The Cabin in the Woods (2012)

The 2012 release of this horror parody enjoys poking fun of all the silly slasher movie clichés. A group of young people must outwit a mysterious organisation trying to sacrifice them to an old order in what is effectively a cat and mouse game for the story. Audiences also found it enjoyable since it never takes itself seriously. It’s also a really shrewd movie that fully appreciates that the audience gets the joke.

Who Dies: Pre-Thor Bradly Whitford, Richard Jenkins, Sigourney Weaver, and Chris Hemsworth all pass away.

Who Survives: Dana and Marty make it to the end, but it is indicated that they won’t have much longer to live when the Ancient Ones show up.
