1880s Preworn Levi’s jeans sold for $87,000 in New Mexico

A pair of jeans (1880s Levis jeans) was sold for $87,000 in New Mexico. After the auction, two people ended up buying it. Don’t think that a pair of jeans actually cost that much. That jeans pant has many features. It was a pair of 1880s Levi’s jeans. Then there are now two. So it cost that much. Photos of these jeans are doing the rounds on social media.

These jeans are from Levi’s company. Found in an abandoned mine. American denim archeologist Michael Harris found it. He took it and sold it to the “Denim Doctors” shop at the Durango Vintage Festival in Aztec, New Mexico.

But these jeans were sold at an unexpected price when an auction was held recently. San Diego-based Kyle Haupert along with Zip Stevenson, owner of Denim Doctors, bought the pair of jeans for $87,400 at auction. On this occasion Zip Steven Sun said that these jeans are very rare and have a few spots on the jeans.

otherwise they would have been solid jeans. Moreover, it was revealed that only two pairs of Levi’s jeans from 1880 are still in existence.

But Stevenson said the jeans, while not in wearable condition, could be worn with minor repairs. There is also a label inside the jeans. It says ‘the only type made by white labour’. Steven Sun revealed that these jeans are currently kept in a bank vault. Owners said that viewing is available on appointment. But they are planning to bid again for this fant. They want to sell at an even higher price than now. Photos of these jeans have been shared on social media.

All in all, the price of a pair of jeans will surprise everyone. It is known that antiques are sold for million dollars, but it must be said that even a pair of jeans is worth such a price.
