According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Peking University is the highest ranked university in mainland China (rated 49th globally), followed by Tsinghua University (71st globally). China has 10 universities in the World’s Top 400, with 6 in the top 300. Other mainland Chinese universities make it to the global top 300 include: University of Science and Technology of China (192nd), Fudan University (226-250th), Nanjing University (251-275th), and Sun Yat-sen University (276-300th).
